We Are Kings

this little guy was the coolest. he was glued to me all day.
and i am so mad i never got his name...seriously. then i figured out what he wanted...my water that i had in my side pocket of my backpack, i felt bad, because i didnt know i had it. and giving him the water made my whole stay there worth, to make him so happy, just that fact that i helped a little bit.

most of us americans, i feel....should never complain about what we dont have, we are kings in their land. im not saying anything bad about us at all, just look at everything we have.



this year when i was in guatemala, i found my self paying attention to childrens hands, you could tell a lot by them. and i also found interesting was how black all their eyes were. it seemed liked they had nothing in side, it was intense at some points, when they just look up at you and smile, because part of you asks... why are you smiling ? you dont have anything at all...you can barely live. but they dont know any better. the truth is though that they have each other...their family and friends. it was some of the strongest bonds i have ever seen
